Hey Loves,
My name is Mel and I’m pursing an exciting career in the Fashion industry to be more specific fashion journalism. Before I go and start rattling off blog entries about my favorite designers, make-up artists, runway shows and so on and so forth I thought I should tell you about my own style. My style is forever evolving.

My style is bohemian chic. I love the style I just adapt it to my curvy body type. Incorporating natural materials like wood, flowers, and feathers into my wardrobe allows me to carry my native culture with me. I am proud to be part Native American and it is therefore reflected in my style along with earth-tone colors (muted tones of grays, browns, orange, mustard, beige, and etc.) I’m attracted to clothing that is made up of mixed materials particularly a mix of lace, rayon or metal hardware. My closet is like my interests, very eclectic. It represents my laid back personality :)

The places I like to shop the most are vintage shops, flea markets, consignment shops and boutique stores. The neighborhood I reside in has quite a few of consignment and boutique stores, so I am there quite often. You have to search but it’s definitely worth the effort to get a great find. :) Each place has something special to offer; vintage shops you can definitely find something rare, flea markets there are authentic handmade products, consignment shops are the epitome of someone's trash is the next person's treasures and boutiques give you that unique find. The array of great clothing, accessories and shoes you could find is endless and that is exactly why I spend half of my waking hours shopping. Well I gotta go, but hey that’s the life of a Fashionista on the Run.
<3, peace and harmony,
Mel
